Two yearsafter I first built my Intercity 125-inspired reimagining of the 60197 locomotive, I’ve finally gotten round to making instructions for it. The original has a big moulded cockpit with a giant sticker on either side, so that was never going to last. I figured out a neat way to cram some Powered Up lights into the cabin which was part of the reason I put it off for so long! There’s some really cool 8+ wide mocs based on this same set but I’m still living in 6-wide train world for my sins.
A few things to note:
- Stud.io doesn’t have the Powered Up lights or the train motor, so a dummy rear bogie is included in the instructions
- There are photos at the end of the instructions showing how to install the electric components
- If you own the original you’ll already have a good chunk of the inventory, but this uses a 28 stud base over the default 24
