Next in my series of free machine tool instructions is my 3-axis mill. The original model was quite fragile and the whole upper assembly had a tendency to fall off but I’ve revised the construction and it’s pretty sturdy now.
The old model – the changes are small but important
As with the drill press, the build is broken into several chunks. Starting with the base, then moving onto the middle bit with the control arms, pivot and then the head itself. Images are available below or you can grab the full PDF and parts list.
