The old layout had a secret laboratory buried under the road inside a cave; it was pretty much completely inaccessible but was wired up with LEDs which put out a nice visible glow. So when building up the rock modules for the new layout, I figured the lab could find a new home behind one of them. However I’m revisiting this post a few months later and just realised I never got round to actually reinstalling the lab!
I did build some grates into one of the modules though and shining a torch through various trans bricks creates a really cool eerie glow that shines out across the train tracks.
